5th INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE: CONSTRUCTIVE MATHEMATICAL ANALYSIS

The “5th International Conference: Constructive Mathematical Analysis” (ICCMA-2027) is a premier activity of the journal Constructive Mathematical Analysis. The first two series of this event were organized as workshops (IWCMA), and following the requests from international researchers, the event evolved into a conference series. The 3rd ICCMA was held in 2025 with more than 200 participants from more than 30 different countries. The 4th ICCMA was held online in 2026.
The main goal of this conference is to promote, encourage, and provide a forum for the academic exchange of ideas and recent research works on any field of Analysis and Function Theory. The conference will present new results and future challenges, in a series of keynote lectures and contributed short talks.
The 5th edition of the International Conference on Constructive Mathematical Analysis (ICCMA) will be held in person in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, from July 1–4, 2027, at the International University of Sarajevo.
The conference will host the following special sessions:
- S1: Multivariate Approximation
Session Chairs: András Kroó, Stefano De MarchiThis session will explore recent developments in multivariate approximation, including polynomial, radial basis functions, kernel, and sparse approximation methods. Particular attention will be given to theoretical analysis, inequalities, discretization of uniform and integral norms, stability, efficient algorithms, and applications to scattered data, high-dimensional problems, scientific computing, and neural networks.
- S2: Special Functions and Orthogonal Polynomials
Session Chairs: Ibrahim Aktaș, Árpád BariczThis special session focuses on recent developments in the theory of orthogonal polynomials and special functions, with an emphasis on their asymptotic properties and cross-disciplinary applications. Particular attention will be given to the analytic and asymptotic properties, inequalities, geometric aspects, numerical analysis, and applications of special functions and orthogonal polynomials. The session will also highlight applications of these topics in different areas of applied mathematics.
- S3: Paul L. Butzer (1928-2026) Memorial Session
Session Chairs: Carlo Bardaro, Harun Karslı, Ilaria Mantellini, Gianluca VintiOn September 9, 2026, Paul Leo Butzer passed away—a mentor and a giant in the field of approximation theory who influenced hundreds of researchers worldwide. He authored numerous scientific papers that shaped the history of the field, as well as several treatises that stand as milestones in approximation theory. This special session aims to honor Professor Butzer through contributions from mathematicians inspired by the wide range of topics he explored—from Fourier analysis to Mellin analysis, and from the study of classical sampling series to their modern generalizations.

The presentation language is English and the abstracts must be prepared according to Latex Template with the instructions which are available here. The all submissions will be peer-reviewed by at least two referees and the submissions which are accepted will be allowed to be presented. The selected papers presented in ICCMA will be published in the special issues of the conference journals.
Moreover, after evaluation process by the scientific committee of the conference, accepted full-text proceedings will be published in “2027 Proceedings of 5th International Conference on Constructive Mathematical Analysis” (ISBN: - ) and this book will be published after the conference is over.
